In the meantime, I've been also quite busy with my other beloved project, The String Revolution. And we too, are releasing a new cd/Ep featuring 7 songs- the first we've ever done. Also a labor of love and passion.. we can't wait to get this out to you. It was mixed and mastered by the great Matt Hyde, who worked on 2 Grammy Nominated Slipknot records. We are extremely honored to have him on board and he's working hard on it in his studio in London. It's 4 of us guitarists and it ROCKS! Many styles on it from modern-to bluegrass-to Spanish- to-yes, a cover of "Billie Jean." We will be releasing it on Oct. 15th and celebrating at The Mint here in LA. Check the tour date page for all the info on that show.
Everyday I try to count my blessings and remind myself that I am so grateful to play music all over the world as my job. Yes, I work hard, but without people buying music, coming to shows, and supporting us working musicians, it wouldn't be able to happen. Music is the universal language and brings all people together. I'm surely happy to be a part of any togetherness I can be. Thanks for spreading the word.. for all your amazing support and love of music- and for coming to see live music!
See you soon,
Hi folks! It's good to be back home, apart from all the craziness that's been happening. The world's gone mad. At least we have music to keep us sane...The European tour was fantastic. I must thank my whole team in the UK, Germany, and the Czech Rep for booking fabulous shows and spreading the word. Everything happened super quick over the last few months. Literally,I finished the record in Nashvile, flew home, and then we were mastering it and finishing art work as I was packing to go on tour the next day. I had to have the cd's duplicated in the UK so I could have them on the road with me there. I'm very proud of this record. I can say that John Carter Cash and Chuck Turner, the producers, really pushed me to dig down deep this time around. They weren't letting anything slip by, which of course is the way it should be. They worked so hard to pull out the best from me. I have nothing but the utmost respect for them.
Big thanks to my Angel Sponsors for making this record happen, I really could not have done it without your support. Now that I am home with the new cds, I am putting all the packages together to mail out to you. The digital release for those of you who didn't order the cd, will be available in the next month. Sorry for the long delay but thank you for your patience... You should receive them in the next week or so. In the meantime, I am busy planning more shows, specifically an east coast run the last week of Sept/1st week of Oct. I have some dates booked already.. some are still open so if you wanna set up a house concert, just reply back and I'll send you all the details. The house concert fees come from the audience you invite so it's no cost to you.
For my LA friends, my record release show will be Sunday, Aug. 21, 7:30pm at the world famous Whiskey A-Go-Go in Hollywood. The Whiskey has given me a special 1st spot of the night for a full 60 min show. There are limited tickets as it's only for my set not for the other bands on the bill. I hope you can make it. The Whiskey is a legendary venue...with the spirits of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors, and many more having graced the stage in the past. I'll have my full band and we will be playing many of the new songs from the cd. I hope you can come and celebrate with us! Tickets are discounted buying online, so I advise to get them this way rather then the night of the show at the door, which may not have any left by then! Check the tour page for ticket info.
I'm also working on a new record for my other project, The String Revolution, and we plan on releasing that in October of this year. More news on that soon :) Thanks for being awesome music lovers and supporters. We need some good vibes in the world right now, so keep rockin' your hearts out and I'll see you when we play it loud and proud! x Janet
